I think I’m in the majority of moms who try to balance my kids’ nutrition concerns, with my lack of time! So I’ve had to get creative and use bribery as my first line of defense. Sure he eats macaroni and cheese like it’s the last meal I’ll ever feed him, so I always use whole wheat pasta and try to blend veggies into the cheese sauce (sometimes he can sniff them out and sometimes I get away with it). I steam broccoli every night and three out of five times if I catch him in a food friendly mood I can get a few spears down his gullet. I also hide Vitamin D pills in his cereal milk and tell him he cannot have those Twizzlers he so yearns for unless he has a fruit first (and nine out of ten times he’ll eat the fruit first!)
