When I initially began writing this blog although I’d hoped it would appeal to both moms and dads I secretly believed that most men probably had very little interest in it. What I’ve found out over the last several years is that nothing could be farther from the truth especially when it comes to the completely devoted and utterly doting Staten Island dads that I’ve had the privilege to befriend.
I’ve not only met many stay-at-home dads but I’ve also become acquainted with many who have designed flexible work schedules in order to pitch in and really take an active role in raising their children. From my own personal experience, I make it a point to fill my husband in on every last detail when to comes to our kids-whether he wants to hear it or not!-and encourage him to spend quality one-on-one time with each of our children okay that’s probably a little more for me than him-but hey, this momma will take a break whenever she can get it!
All kidding aside- NYC dads are a pretty committed bunch who proudly wear their daddy status like a badge of honor and distinction! Just like us mommies they’re fully invested in their children’s whirlwind of weekend activities; taking part in daddy and me classes and arts and crafts workshops and can even be found crawling through outdoor mazes and indoor tunnels at kiddie gym classes. So if you are looking to help the kidlet in your life shower their dad with love check out this Easy to make Heartfelt Father’s Day Gift: A Free Downloadable Dad Coupon Book!
#1 Just in time for Father’s Day, Kiddie Academy has created a free downloadable coupon book that children can easily create with a bit of help from an adult. Designed with Dad’s unique perspective in mind, the coupons feature activities for children to complete, such as I will brush my teeth without faking it, Dad can tell and I will load the dishwasher or wash them by hand like the Pilgrims.
The last coupon on the printable gift provides space for a child to add a personal promise to Dad. Even if you already have the perfect present picked out, these kid-centered coupons are a nice addition that Dads will appreciate.
After printing, the coupons can be cut out and assembled into a book with a few staples, or left loose and slipped into a card. No advanced Pinterest degree required for this project! Download the free coupons here !
